Good Neighbor Pledge : About

The La Plata County Energy Council is a nonprofit trade organization formed in 1998 promoting safe, responsible oil and natural gas development in La Plata County. Individuals and company members work to strengthen relations with the community, increase public understanding, and participate in open discussions on important issues relative to the industry.

As members of the community, the Energy Council and our member companies understand the vital importance of being a good neighbor. Our Good Neighbor Pledge has a long history of success in working with the community for success.

We recognize that full compliance with the laws and regulations that apply to our industry is essential to what it takes to be a good neighbor. And we do more.

Our Good Neighbor Pledge and Initiatives are an important part of who we are and how we do business. We hope you find it informative and encourage your feedback. If you are aware of an activity that you feel does not measure-up, or you see something we've done that should be commended, please let us know. An important role of the Energy Council is to follow up on complaints and to make sure compliments are recognized for a job well done. We'd like to hear from you at www.energycouncil.org or (970) 382-6686.
